Role Overview

Required Skill Set

• Required technical skills include vendor management, supply chain and operations, data analytics and systems, and financial and commercial acumen.
• Required soft skills include communication and stakeholder management, attention to detail, operational excellence, and analytical problem solving.

Vendor Management

• Develop vendor management strategies and best practices and monitor vendor performance through key performance indicators.
• Conduct vendor performance assessments, resolve issues, identify improvements, and negotiate favorable terms and service levels.
• Manage vendor billing and payment accuracy, maintain relationships, oversee compliance, lead audits, and mitigate supplier risks.

Sourcing and Delivery

• Develop strategic sourcing plans, research potential vendors, and evaluate quality, capability, reliability, and background information.
• Facilitate new vendor onboarding and negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements.
• Coordinate with internal departments, maintain supplier partnerships, analyze markets and sourcing metrics, and implement corrective actions.

Scrap Management

• Develop recycling plans for old diamonds received through the retail exchange program and promote employee awareness of recycling practices.
• Improve waste reduction and recycling procedures and oversee the accurate, quality-controlled sorting and processing of gold and loose diamonds.
• Maintain relationships with melting vendors and factories and analyze recycling performance, costs, trends, standards, and compliance.

Experience Requirements

• The source specifies 7 years of vendor management experience as required.
• The source specifies 5 years of diamond industry experience as required.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 10,000 to AED 12,000 per month.
