Job Summary
- IIQAF Group is hiring a detail oriented and analytical Assistant Underwriter to support our growing insurance team in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist underwriters in evaluating insurance applications and policy submissions.
- Review insurance documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Analyze customer information, financial records, and risk exposure.
- Perform preliminary risk assessments following underwriting guidelines.
- Prepare quotations, policy schedules, endorsements, and renewal documents.
- Process new business applications, renewals, cancellations, and policy amendments.
- Maintain accurate underwriting files and electronic customer records.
- Verify supporting documents including identification, financial information, and loss history.
- Coordinate with brokers, insurance agents, clients, and internal departments.
- Follow up on outstanding underwriting requirements and pending documentation.
- Ensure compliance with UAE insurance regulations and company policies.
- Support pricing decisions by collecting underwriting data and risk information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, Economics, or a related field.
- Previous experience as an Assistant Underwriter, Underwriting Assistant, Insurance Assistant, Insurance Coordinator, Policy Administrator, Underwriting Executive, Insurance Operations Executive, or Risk Analyst is preferred.
- Experience in general insurance, health insurance, life insurance, property insurance, motor insurance, or commercial insurance is an advantage.
- Knowledge of underwriting principles, insurance policies, risk evaluation, and policy administration.
- Familiarity with insurance management systems and CRM software.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced insurance environment.
