Assistant Sales Manager

Position Summary

Sales and Reservations

• Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail.
• Enter loyalty program information into the appropriate software during guest reservations.
• Process requests for redeeming Marriott Rewards points.
• Use upselling and other sales techniques to maximize revenue.

Guest Service

• Answer, record, and process guest calls, requests, questions, and concerns.
• Coordinate with Sales, Data Administration, Accounting, and other departments to resolve guest issues.
• Determine and provide complimentary gifts or benefits for guest patronage.
• Promote brand awareness internally and externally.

Team and Office Support

• Assist management with training and motivating employees and serve as a role model.
• Monitor the performance of others for adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Perform filing, email, typing, faxing, copying, and other general office duties.
• Follow company policies, protect confidential information and company assets, and maintain service standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
• At least two years of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience or license or certification is required.
