Assistant Professor in PR and Advertising

Abu Dhabi University is seeking a dynamic and academically driven Assistant Professor in Public Relations and Advertising to join the University’s academic team. This full-time faculty position is pivotal in delivering high-quality teaching and learning in areas such as public relations, advertising strategies, brand communication, digital media campaigns, and related communication disciplines. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses using both theoretical and practical approaches, preparing and updating course materials, assessing student performance, and supervising applied projects to ensure the achievement of program learning outcomes. Key responsibilities include contributing to curriculum development, supporting continuous program improvement, aligning course content with current industry trends and international academic standards, and engaging students through innovative teaching methods and real-world applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to combine research, teaching, and industry engagement. A background in public relations, advertising, strategic communication, brand management, digital media, or related fields is essential. Candidates should have a relevant doctoral degree, strong teaching experience, and active engagement in research, scholarly publications, or creative industry-related outputs. Experience in academic advising, departmental service, and collaboration with industry partners will be highly regarded. The role involves teaching students in undergraduates and postgraduate academic programs while ensuring appropriate support is provided and high-performance levels are achieved. In addition to program coordination, the Assistant Professor will head research in specialized area related in order to enhance ADU’s profile and contribute to the knowledge development of the local and international community. The role will also require active participation in engaging in diverse pedagogical methods and instructional strategies that support students in their holistic development.
