Assistant Professor in Operations Management

Job Purpose

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Operations and Supply Chain Management and related disciplines.
• Develop a productive research agenda that produces publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.
• Supervise student projects, internships, and theses as applicable.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous program enhancement aligned with accreditation standards and industry practices.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees and academic initiatives.
• Attend training programs, workshops, and academic conferences to enhance teaching and research effectiveness.
• Engage with business and professional communities to support collaboration, outreach, innovation, and impact.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field.
• The degree should be from an internationally recognized university; AACSB, EQUIS, or top-200 ranking status is preferred.
• At least two years of teaching experience in accredited higher education institutions.
• Demonstrated teaching excellence and commitment to high-quality research.
• Established scholarly research portfolio with publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• Industry practice, consultancy, or professional service experience is highly desirable.

Knowledge and Skills

• Proven curriculum development and innovative teaching experience.
• Ability to integrate industry insights and emerging trends into curriculum design and instruction.
• Capacity to contribute to departmental service, program development, and institutional initiatives.
• Professional proficiency in oral and written English; Arabic is a plus.
