About the Role
Apparel Group seeks an Assistant Manager - Quality to oversee quality assurance for apparel products. The role involves coordinating with designers and merchandisers, conducting fit sessions, reviewing lab reports, performing factory audits, and managing vendor quality.

Responsibilities
- Work in close coordination with Designer for design related discussions and Merchandiser for approval related discussions
- Develop sample specification sheets while finalizing trims with Designer along with tech pack for each style
- Conduct Fit Sessions of Development/Fit & PP Samples with designer, buyer & merchandiser and ensure amendments
- Check lab reports of each individual style and give approval & conclusion based on result
- Perform factory audits for new vendors before starting operations and random audits of existing vendors periodically
- Facilitate periodic review of PP meeting report, provide guidance to QA Team while ensuring quality for incoming products
- Interface with QA and Vendor for addressing technical queries and monitor customer feedback to reduce complaints below 1%
- Communicate technical requirements and changes to internal teams during collection pre production stage
- Administer accurate management of software admin and data input – fit, construction comments and size charts
- Facilitate ongoing review & development of quality lead construction standards
- Contribute to developing technical team ways of working and supporting business in more efficient processes
- Determine management of risk attributes within garments while organizing fit meetings to achieve required critical path
Requirements
- Experience in garment quality assurance, fit sessions, and technical specifications
- Ability to conduct factory audits and vendor performance analysis
- Knowledge of lab report analysis and approval processes
- Strong communication and coordination skills with designers, merchandisers, and vendors
- Experience in developing SOPs and improving quality processes

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct the Fit Session of Development /Fit & PP Sample / Dress forms with designer, buyer & merchandiser and ensuring amendments.
- Checking lab reports of each individual style and give approval & conclusion based on result.
- Factory Audits: To do factory audits for new vendors before starting the operations with them and random factory audits of existing vendors periodically.
- Facilitating periodic review of PP meeting report, providing guidance to QA Team while ensuring quality for incoming products from all vendors.
- Interfacing with QA and Vendor for addressing technical queries and keeping a check on customer feedback while ensuring customer complaints level to be reduced to below 1%.

Additional Responsibilities
- SOP Operation: Creating complete process from Design to Dispatch to troubleshoot operational flaws and minimize lead time & cost.
- Vendor Analysis: To analyse and rate vendor performance on various quality parameters and production efficiency.
- Working with buyers and designers to create new garment specs and collaborating to determine best fabric and trim combinations, participating in pre production fittings and management of comments & size charts to Pattern & Production Team.
- Manage workload in an organized manner and maintain a central filing system which interlinks with other members of the team.
- Identifying opportunities to improve technical performance of product area through simplified ways of working.
- Taking care of employee performance development reviews and a personal development plan.
- Improving the customer proposition through the implementation of a gated development process.
