Purpose of Role
Provide L3 support and technical ownership for enterprise servers, storage, virtualization, and AWS platforms.
Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology-refresh initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Windows Server and Linux environments at enterprise scale.
- Administer VMware ESXi/vSphere clusters and KVM virtualization.
- Manage HPE SAN storage, including LUN provisioning, SAN zoning, capacity, and performance.
- Administer AWS EC2, S3, and IAM resources with security and optimization controls.
- Manage patching, OS and hypervisor hardening, and remediation of penetration-test findings.
- Manage backup schedules, validate restores, and execute disaster-recovery tests.
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and technology refreshes.
- Author HLDs, LLDs, SOPs, runbooks, and support audit and compliance activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with OEMs and third-party service partners.
Required Experience and Skills
- 4–8 years of experience in enterprise server and storage environments.
- VMware VCP 6.x/7.x-level experience, AWS associate-level experience, and strong PowerShell or Shell scripting.
- Deep knowledge of HPE SAN and LUN management, VMware cluster design, and Windows/Linux patching.
