The Assistant Manager — Central Operations owns process, compliance, and inventory mandates across the dark store network.
The role builds measurement systems, drives closure with store and cross-functional teams, and automates manual work.
The portfolio evolves as the network scales, requiring comfort with new central mandates and shifting priorities.
Process Control and Compliance
- Own SLA adherence for receiving, putaway, pendency closure, and task compliance.
- Run central hygiene, process, community, and safety audits and drive corrective actions to closure.
- Own new-store launch and readiness audits end to end.
Inventory, Capacity, and Assets
- Maintain dispersion, comingling, CC coverage, inventory, bin, and expiry accuracy at target.
- Drive ABC velocity-based placement and pick-path design to reduce pick time, mis-picks, and defects.
- Plan store capacity and maintain asset tagging and utilisation for racking, chillers, and freezers.
Automation and Programs
- Build dashboards and self-service tools that replace manual reporting.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma and AI tooling to remove manual touchpoints and standardise work across markets.
- Deliver leadership-assigned central programs on time with stakeholder alignment and a clear data narrative.
- Additional central operations mandates may be assigned based on business priorities and strengths.
Experience
- 3–6 years in quick commerce, e-commerce fulfilment, retail supply chain, or warehouse operations.
- Hands-on ownership of process design, audits, or inventory accuracy across multiple sites.
- Multi-market or distributed-team experience is a plus.
Technical and Functional Qualifications
- Independent SQL and BigQuery capability, Python for automation, Power BI or Tableau, and practical use of AI tools.
- Advanced Sheets and Apps Script are welcome.
- Lean Six Sigma with real project evidence and strong SOP and process documentation skills.
- Ability to define metrics, build measurement, close gaps, drive cross-functional closure, and make leadership-ready recommendations.
