Job Description

  • The role aims to be recognized as trusted advisors in the hotel/hotels.
  • Supports the finance lead to attract and retain best in class finance professionals.
  • Assists in developing the finance team and enables them to Thrive.

Responsibilities

  • Support financial strategy execution: Assist in directing financial operations to align with strategic goals.
  • Provide financial insights: Assist in reviewing financial performance, reconciling accounts, and preparing recommendations.
  • Manage financial operations: Oversee Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Night Audit functions.
  • Oversee financial reporting: Lead preparation and review of monthly financial statements.
  • Monitor and approve financial transactions: Review and authorize ledger reconciliations, tax filings, and payroll.
  • Inspire and develop the team: Supervise, coach, and mentor team members.
  • Drive financial performance: Support all activities of the Finance Director by monitoring financial performance.
  • Oversee month end and financial reporting processes: Coordinate month end closing and financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance and operational excellence: Maintain smooth operation of all hotel finance activities.
  • Partner with key stakeholders: Collaborate with hotel finance team, management, and regional teams.
  • Support finance leadership: Assist Finance Director and assume leadership in their absence.
  • Develop a high performing finance team: Support recruitment, development, coaching, and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Ability to analyze large volumes of complex financial information and prepare accurate reports, forecasts, budgets, and financial projections.
  • Strong problem solving skills with ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve financial and operational issues.
  • Ability to manage, coach, and develop team members.
  • Ability to take initiative, prioritize responsibilities, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations and communicate financial information effectively.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
