Finance and funding responsibilities
- Support equity funding activities, funding opportunity evaluation, and equity investment requirements.
- Evaluate and manage hedge fund investment opportunities aligned with company objectives.
- Represent the company in negotiations with banks, financial institutions, and funding partners.
- Support business finance, credit facilities, project financing, and other funding requirements.
Reporting and controls
- Prepare monthly and year-to-date financial management reports in compliance with IFRS.
- Develop reports and analysis for sales, inventories, costing, and customer collections.
- Manage the organizational budgeting process under senior management direction.
- Oversee quarterly and annual statutory audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Improve accounting and financial processes and develop the accounts team.
- Ensure compliance with VAT and tax requirements.
- Manage operational account payments and supplier and vendor payments.
- Coordinate with collections to reduce defaults and ensure timely follow-up.
- Prepare monthly financial and management information reports for top management.
Skills and qualifications
- Master's degree in commerce, MBA in Finance, or CA/CPA qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or finance position.
- Competency in Oracle, Microsoft Office programs, or accounting packages.
- Sound knowledge of IFRS requirements related to the real estate industry.
- Ability to guide, mentor, and coach the accounts team.
- Knowledge of DLD and RERA requirements for real estate projects is preferred.
