Job Responsibilities
- Prepare financial management reports and present monthly and year-to-date financials with IFRS-compliant analysis.
- Develop reporting and analysis for sales, inventories, costing, and customer collections.
- Manage the accounting team and ensure entries, reports, schedules, and reconciliations are completed on time.
- Handle the organization’s budgeting process under senior management direction.
- Oversee quarterly and annual statutory audits, coordinate with external auditors, and recommend improvements.
- Improve accounting and financial processes and develop the team toward best practices.
- Develop and oversee accounting policies and procedures for current and future business models.
- Ensure compliance with VAT and tax requirements of regulatory authorities.
- Manage operational account payments and execute supplier and vendor payments under company policy.
- Oversee receivables and payables reports and coordinate with collections on defaults and follow-ups.
- Prepare monthly financial and other MIS reports for top management.
Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in commerce, a qualified MBA in Finance, or CA/CPA qualification.
- Competency in Oracle, Microsoft Office programs, or accounting packages.
- Sound knowledge of IFRS requirements related to the real estate industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior accounting or finance position.
- Ability to guide, mentor, and coach the accounts team.
- Familiarity with DLD and RERA requirements for real estate projects is preferred.
