Role Overview

  • The Assistant Commercial Manager (ACM) will support the implementation and auditing of policies and procedures related to contract and commercial management
  • The ACM will help manage the day to day commercial and contract management functions

Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualification (University Graduate) in Quantity Surveying or similar plus a minimum of 5 7 years relevant experience
  • Extensive construction industry experience with a degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Building Management
  • UAE experience is preferred
  • Active membership in a professional institution such as RICS is advantageous

Key Responsibilities General

  • Stay informed on business and technical developments in the construction industry
  • Monitor market conditions to support Mirage's development planning
  • Assist in identifying commercial risks, claims, and variation orders
  • Collaborate with the finance team to implement cost control systems
  • Administer internal commercial and financial project procedures
  • Ensure compliance with established commercial processes

Key Responsibilities Procurement

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of procurement strategies
  • Review tender documents and participate in negotiations with tenderers
  • Assist in preparing and managing project contracts

Key Responsibilities Pre Contract / Design

  • Help manage commercial, procurement, and contract functions to achieve project goals
  • Contribute to contract negotiation and conversion of proposals
  • Assist in drafting agreements, managing design development
  • Review design variations and provide commercial input
  • Support the management of project expenditure and budget adherence

Key Responsibilities Post Contract / Supervision

  • Work with the Project Management team to ensure consultant and contractor compliance with contracts
  • Review and process payments, variations, and claims
  • Liaise with site consultants on project cost and contract management
  • Ensure timely reporting and submission of contract documentation
