Role Overview

  • The Resident Engineer Landscape is responsible for managing and supervising all landscape construction activities on site.
  • Ensures works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, project schedule, and health & safety regulations.
  • Coordinates with Client, Contractor, Consultants, and relevant authorities to deliver high quality landscape projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent is preferred.
  • At least 15 years of overall experience, including 5 years as a Resident Engineer on landscape or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in supervising softscape, hardscape, irrigation, landscape lighting, and public realm works.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, QA/QC, contract administration (FIDIC), and HSE requirements.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, and project management software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all landscape construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedule, and HSE requirements.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, RFIs, inspection requests, and as built drawings.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Coordinate with the Client, Contractor, Consultants, and Authorities to resolve technical and site related issues.
  • Administer the construction contract, including payment certifications, variation orders, claims, and change management.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and ensure all landscape works meet project specifications.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and provide recommendations to management.
  • Chair site meetings and ensure effective communication among all project stakeholders.
  • Promote and enforce QA/QC and HSE standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the site supervision team while maintaining strong client relationships.
