About the Role
Mirage is seeking an Assistant Commercial Manager to support contract and commercial management functions throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves procurement, pre-contract/design, and post-contract/supervision activities.

- Support the implementation and auditing of policies and procedures related to contract and commercial management as directed by Mirage Management.
- Help manage the day to day commercial and contract management functions to maintain high ethical standards and adherence to established procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay informed on business and technical developments in the construction industry to aid in evolving business strategies.
- Monitor market conditions to support Mirage's development planning and strategic recommendations.
- Assist in identifying commercial risks, claims, and variation orders and provide suggestions for appropriate actions.
- Collaborate with the finance team to implement cost control systems and financial reporting aligned with project budgets and revenue.
- Administer internal commercial and financial project procedures.
- Ensure compliance with established commercial processes for optimal outcomes for Mirage, clients, and the project.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of procurement strategies in collaboration with consultants.
- Review tender documents and participate in negotiations with tenderers to ensure budget compliance.
- Assist in preparing and managing project contracts.
- Help manage commercial, procurement, and contract functions to achieve project goals within budget and schedule.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification (University Graduate) in Quantity Surveying or similar plus a minimum of 5 7 years’ relevant experience in a commercial management role
- Extensive construction industry experience with a degree in Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Building Management
- Demonstrated progression of responsibilities throughout the career
- UAE experience is preferred
- Involvement in large scale, relevant projects
- Active membership in a professional institution such as RICS is advantageous

Role Overview

Qualifications and Experience

Procurement

Pre Contract / Design
- Help manage commercial, procurement, and contract functions to achieve project goals within budget and schedule.
- Contribute to contract negotiation and conversion of proposals.
- Assist in drafting agreements, managing design development, and attending design and development meetings as required.
- Review design variations and provide commercial input on time and cost implications.
- Support the management of project expenditure and budget adherence.
Post Contract / Supervision
- Work with the Project Management team to ensure consultant and contractor compliance with contracts
- Review and process payments, variations, and claims
- Liaise with site consultants on project cost and contract management
- Ensure timely reporting and submission of contract documentation for consultants and contractors
