Job Summary
Manage the assigned sales team, coverage area, and products.
Ensure effective supervision and management of all sales channel and area activities.
Sales and Area Management
- Achieve sales value and volume targets for the specified area and category.
- Execute sales plans and budgets to achieve or exceed annual sales objectives.
- Forecast monthly promotional activity and ensure execution according to plan.
- Monitor service levels, sales volume, returns, and route performance.
- Achieve distribution targets and deliver monthly sales and returns targets.
- Ensure product visibility and availability follow planograms and share-of-shelf expectations.
- Control wastage across supervised routes and outlets.
- Manage collections and reconciliation from approved credit customers.
Team and Route Supervision
- Supervise sales representatives and ensure agreed service levels, distribution, and product display.
- Order the correct volume and product mix to service outlets to company standards.
- Keep route plans current and ensure routes carry the required saleable product mix.
- Conduct at least two market route visits per supervised salesperson each month.
- Monitor daily salesperson activity, sales progress, collection status, and accomplishments.
