Architectural & Fit-Out Designer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update 2D AutoCAD drawings, office layouts, and space plans.
• Create workplace layouts from blank or shell-and-core floor plans.
• Produce or modify 3D concepts and visualizations.
• Propose practical, creative, and cost-conscious workplace design solutions.
• Review external architectural and fit-out proposals and recommend alternatives.
• Coordinate layouts with building services, furniture, IT, and fire/life-safety requirements.
• Support Dubai/UAE authority approval documentation, including Civil Defence requirements.
• Participate in meetings and coordinate revisions with management, consultants, and contractors.
• Conduct site visits to verify measurements, site conditions, and implementation.
• Support projects from concept through fit-out implementation and handover.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related discipline.
• Ideally 5–10 years of relevant UAE experience in architectural, interior, workplace, or fit-out design.
• Hands-on corporate office interior and shell-and-core workplace layout experience.
• Advanced AutoCAD proficiency and recent personal experience producing and modifying DWG drawings.
• Hands-on proficiency in relevant 3D design and visualization software.
• Strong knowledge of space planning, furniture layouts, dimensions, and workplace ergonomics.
• Practical fit-out lifecycle and building services coordination knowledge.
• Familiarity with Dubai/UAE approvals and commercial fit-out fire and life-safety requirements.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving, and independent task-management skills.
• Willingness to attend site visits as required.
