Architect – Data Center Design & Engineering

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs, layouts, and technical documentation for Data Center and mission-critical projects
• Coordinate with MEP, structural, BIM, and engineering teams throughout design and project delivery phases
• Prepare and review concept designs, schematic drawings, design development packages, and construction documentation
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, authority requirements, and international Data Center standards
• Support space planning, equipment layouts, access control requirements, and operational flow within mission critical facilities
• Participate in design coordination meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
• Review material submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and technical design changes during project execution
• Support design quality assurance, constructability reviews, and project delivery schedules
• Coordinate with BIM and engineering teams to ensure accurate multidisciplinary integration
• Assist with site inspections and technical support during construction and handover stages

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related discipline.
• Minimum 7+ years of architectural experience within construction and building projects.
• Must have Data Center project experience.
• Strong understanding of mission critical facilities, CSA coordination, and technical design standards.
• Experience working on large scale infrastructure or mission critical developments is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM workflows, and architectural coordination tools.
• Good knowledge of local authority approvals and international building standards.
• Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Candidates currently based in the GCC are preferred.
