About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead the design coordination and technical delivery of data centre construction projects from concept through construction and handover
- Coordinate architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, ICT/ELV, BIM, and specialist design disciplines
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, technical submissions, and shop drawings to ensure quality and compliance
- Resolve design interfaces, technical queries, RFIs, and coordination issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Work closely with contractors, consultants, clients, and internal project teams to ensure integrated project delivery
- Support value engineering, constructability reviews, and design optimisation
- Monitor design progress against programme milestones and ensure timely delivery of design packages
- Attend technical workshops, coordination meetings, and design reviews with project stakeholders
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications, client standards, local regulations, and international codes
- Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and project close out
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 7–10 years' experience in design engineering, with significant exposure to data centre construction projects
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams on mission critical developments
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, design coordination, and project delivery processes
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM workflows, and Microsoft Office
- Experience reviewing technical documentation, engineering calculations, material submittals, and construction drawings
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working with hyperscale, colocation, or mission critical data centre projects is mandatory

Role Overview
- Our client is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join their team in Doha, Qatar, supporting the delivery of a major data center construction project.
- This role is responsible for leading multidisciplinary design coordination, ensuring engineering solutions are technically compliant, fully coordinated, and delivered from design through construction.
