About The Service

ICT is part of the Council’s Customer and Digital Services Directorate.

Its primary functions are:

to provide high quality IT systems, support and maintenance across the organisation

to provide strategic advice and guidance to the service areas and their directorates

to contribute to the delivery of the Council’s Digital First approach

The ICT Service consists of several functions including:

the Service Desk

Enterprise Systems and Data teams responsible for the development, support and maintenance of both in-house developed and 3rd party applications

ICT Services teams delivering network, server and end user computing services

Security and Compliance

Enterprise Architecture

About the job

The ICT Applications Support Analyst will lead and oversee the support and maintenance of the Councils existing SAP ERP solution and will participate in and contribute to the implementation project of its Oracle Fusion replacement.

The role will ensure: The maintenance and reliable running of the ERP systems and its integrations The support and maintenance of ERP developments such as integrations into 3 rd party systems both on site and in the cloud The provision of support to colleagues and users with advice for the use and development of the ERP systems The creation of reports within the ERP systems

This role will also work with project teams and suppliers to deliver: The migration from the existing ERP solution to across to Oracle Fusion.

What We Are Looking For From You

Maintain and develop the Council’s ERP Application, SAP.

Engage, advise and contribute to the ERP replacement project to move from SAP to its replacement Oracle Fusion

Co-ordinate and manage systems maintenance and upgrades of the ERP environments.

Support between the ERP Application and other Applications

Create reports using the ERP tools.

Build and apply your ERP system expertise to actively seek and promote more efficient ways of working, for users and related applications. Regularly meet users, to check and develop their full use of the ERP system.

Ensure that Test Scripts are continuously maintained and all changes to the ERP system are tested across the multiple environments before they are implemented.

Ensure that all support and guidance documentation and information is continuously maintained.

Analyse and resolve support tickets logged by internal users.

Collaborate with internal teams and external support providers to resolve system issues.

Develop knowledge and skills within the team to ensure a resilient support service and for individual development.

Develop and promote standards in relation to support documentation, call handling and customer interaction.

Receiving, prioritising and processing queries and issues passed to the SAP Support Centre from the ICT Helpdesk with regard to the SAP system for all modules of SAP. This will include system issues (bugs) and requests for new enhancements.

Assisting in the identification and monitoring of benefits identified as part of the SAP system
