About the Role
Amentum is looking for an Airfield Management Shift Lead to maintain situational awareness of airfield activities and ensure safe, efficient aircraft operations. You will perform inspections, coordinate with base agencies, and manage airfield programs.

- Maintain situational awareness of airfield activities and overall responsibility for AMOPS section while on duty
- Perform airfield inspections and checks for safety and compliance with planning and design criteria
- Plan, organize, and direct airfield activities including construction/repairs, driving program, ice/snow removal, Bird/Wildlife control
- Procure, maintain, and produce information on safe operation of aircraft through national and international airspace system
- Process domestic and international flight plans
- Coordinate with base agencies to meet aircrew requirements for billeting, messing, refueling, transportation, and transient aircraft maintenance
Requirements
- Experience in airfield management or related field
- Knowledge of airfield safety and compliance standards
- Ability to coordinate with multiple agencies
- Strong communication and leadership skills

Role Overview
- The designee is responsible for maintaining situational awareness of airfield activities and overall responsibility for AMOPS section while on duty to provide a safe, efficient, and effective airfield environment for aircraft operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform airfield inspections and checks for safety and compliance with planning and design criteria.
- Plan, organize, and direct airfield activities to include airfield construction/repairs, airfield driving program, ice/snow removal operations, Bird/Wildlife control, etc.
- Procure, maintain, and produce information on safe operation of aircraft through the national and international airspace system such as Flight Information Publications, aeronautical charts and maps, NOTAM, local airfield and navigational aid status, and weather information.
- Process domestic and international flight plans.
- Coordinate with base agencies to meet aircrew requirements for billeting, messing, refueling, transportation, and transient aircraft maintenance.
