- Maintain, modify, and repair electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, and associated equipment
- Perform scheduled periodic maintenance on systems and components, and adjust generator systems to maintain proper voltage, current frequency, and or synchronization
- Identify, record, and repair generator malfunctions by removing, repairing, and or replacing defective power generating components
- Work from blueprints, drawings, and operate a variety of electrician’s hand tools and testing instruments
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Formal training on power generating equipment and associated equipment such as: military technical training school, vocational college, and/or a four (4) year apprentice program with experience in electrical power production maintenance and repair
- Four (4) years of practical experience with equipment the technician will maintain
- Six (6) months of Cummins Commercial, Advanced Medium Mobile Power Source (AMMPS) and InPower Software experience required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US CENTCOM Medical Exam
- Must have or be able to obtain/maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities
- The designee shall be qualified to maintain, modify, and repair electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, and associated equipment.
- Performs scheduled periodic maintenance on systems and components, and adjusts generator systems to maintain proper voltage, current frequency, and or synchronization.
- Identifies, records, and repairs generator malfunctions by removing, repairing, and or replacing defective power generating components.
- The designee shall maintain systems such as, but not limited to Cummins generator series' DGDK, DSGAB, DGBB, C15D6, C35D6 125D6D, MEPP series 1050, 1070A, PP 3106A and Cummins Inpower software.
- This designee shall be qualified to work from blueprints, drawings, and operating a variety of electrician’s hand tools and testing instruments.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
