Role overview

The role supports cloud and infrastructure activities across platforms and operating systems.

The work includes infrastructure provisioning, network operations, firewall configuration, disaster recovery, backups, and network equipment procurement.

The role covers on-premise and cloud-based server and network infrastructure.

Cloud and platform responsibilities

  • Plan and project-manage hybrid cloud projects and develop service catalogue offerings for public cloud and software-defined data centre platforms.
  • Provide IaaS and PaaS cloud architecture and engineering expertise.
  • Build and operate DevOps infrastructure for continuous integration and delivery.
  • Implement automation to improve operations, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Define technical requirements, establish governance, and enforce cloud architecture quality standards.
  • Support application cloud transformation, code deployment and debugging, monitoring, and site reliability engineering solutions.

Qualifications

  • Foundational proficiency is expected in AWS, Azure, cloud infrastructure, database management, cloud governance, and cloud security.
  • Foundational proficiency is expected in configuration management, infrastructure as code, microservices architecture, and source control management.
  • Knowledge areas include automation, security and audit compliance, systems thinking, and exposure to AI.
  • The role requires communication, collaboration, adaptability, relationship-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Specialized knowledge from education or business experience is expected.

Compensation

  • The stated salary range is $45,000 to $100,000 with salaried pay type.
  • Compensation varies based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications.
