Role Overview

  • The Technical Support Engineer UPS will provide factory support to Eaton local Service teams across EMEA, focusing on ME region UPS customers.
  • This role provides service trainings to Eaton local Service Engineers and ASPs, and is in contact with local service teams and ASPs, not end customers directly.

What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with 3 Phase UPS systems.
  • Provide expert technical support to local and regional field service engineers via remote tools and on site visits.
  • Manage and lead troubleshooting and take corrective actions in challenging field incidents.
  • Assist FSEs and customers with installation, configuration and start up of UPS systems.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and AE team to address and resolve issues and report to Quality on field findings.
  • Provide service trainings for FSEs and ASPs, including onsite, remote and eLearning trainings.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, field service bulletins and service guides.
  • Participate in new product development projects as a voice of customer and provide field service perspective.
  • Contribute to zero incident culture supporting safety of field engineers through instructions and training.
  • Coordinate with factory teams in Finland & China for technical and product support.

Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of service experience in power electronics and/or experience in technical support role in three phase power electronics.

Skills

  • Experience in technical support or a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge on power electronics and/or three phase electrical systems.
  • Experience on UPS technologies is an advantage.
  • Strong work ethic, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer oriented.
  • Focus on delivering high quality support.
