Responsibilities
- Provide face to face non medical counseling to military service members and their families (individuals, couples, and families)
- Observe, participate, and engage in activities with service members, military spouses and families
- Offer presentations to service members, military families, and leadership at military connected events
- Build rapport with parents and families by attending installation and community events
- Help with transition adjustments such as new school and new home
- Participate in regular in service training and other contract activities as assigned
- Communicate information regarding trends and issues at assigned installation to Team Leads
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)
- Valid independent clinical license in mental health from any US state or territory (LCSW, MHC, MFT, LPC, Psychologist)
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Ability to pass a basic background check and NACI/CNACI clearance (Public Trust)
- Ability to accommodate overnight shift work
- Experience in non medical counseling and military family support preferred

Job Overview
- Leidos is hiring licensed behavioral health professionals to join our Adult Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) team to support Qatar in the Middle East.
- This position will work remotely until travel opens up to the Middle East.
- Counselors must be able to accommodate overnight shift work in order to be considered for this opening.
- Join the mission to support U.S. military service members and their families as they work through important military life adjustments while serving their country.
Adult MFLC Responsibilities
- Face to face counseling to military service members and their families (individuals, couples, and families).
- Visually observe, participate, and engage in activities with service members, military spouses and families; provide coaching, guidance and support to installation staff; and model behavior management techniques for staff and military family members.
- Offer presentations to service members, military families, and military leadership at military connect events.
- Promote creativity and positivity through approved materials.
- Build rapport with parents and families by attending installation and community events.
- Help with transition adjustments, such as a new school and a new home.
- Participate in regular in service training or other contract activities as assigned.
- Communicate information regarding trends and issues at assigned installation to Team Leads.

Minimum Requirements
- A Master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
- The candidate must hold a valid independent license in the mental health field from any US state or territory (LCSW, MHC, MFT, LPC, Psychologist).
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must be able to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance, commonly called a Public Trust clearance.
Additional Information
- Pay Range: $59,150.00 $106,925.00 per year.
- Licensure Portability: Under NDAA, licensed MFLCs may provide services regardless of state of licensure.
