Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in healthcare admissions or customer service

Overview
- Receives, registers, and confirms patient's visit. Processes all paperwork and issues the inpatient appointments requested for the patients.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Receives and greets patients as they arrive in the Admission area and take the required action.
- Updates patients bio data, address, telephone number, etc.
- Registers and confirms patient's information using computer system, and takes necessary action for patients to be admitted.
- Opens medical records for new patients.
- Retrieves the admission request from the patient, makes sure it is stamped by patient plate and clearly filled. Verifies correctness of the job after finalization.
- Verifies patient's eligibility status, makes sure that patient is eligible for the specialty he/she is referred to.
- Responsible for giving the Patients Bill of Rights and Handbook and ensure that patients fully understand the contents.
- Answers patients and their families inquiries, provides any assistance and directs them to any other services they ask for, e.g. Pharmacy, Laboratory, Social Services, etc.
- Participates in the orientation of new employees as required.
- Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
- Participates in self and other's education, training and development, as applicable.
- Performs any other related duties as assigned.
