Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts
- Ensure timely bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
- Oversee VAT compliance, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation
- Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit processes
- Monitor company expenses and implement cost control measures
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and internal controls
- Prepare management reports and provide financial insights for decision making
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure high performance and professional development
- Liaise with banks, government authorities, suppliers, and clients regarding financial matters
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 7 10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
