About the Role
Coca-Cola Arena seeks an experienced Accountant for event financial management on a freelance basis. The role involves coordinating with operations and clients, managing event settlements, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities
- Close coordination with operations, project managers, vendors, and clients to ensure accurate financial management of each event
- Managing event related financial transactions, event settlements, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Preparing accurate and timely event settlements, reconcile event revenues and expenses, and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Preparing customer invoices promptly, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up to ensure timely collections
- Preparing monthly financial reports, event profitability reports, and budget variance analyses accurately and within reporting deadlines
- Performing timely bank, cash, and credit card reconciliations, ensuring all discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly
- Recording accounting entries accurately and maintain the integrity of the general ledger with proper supporting documents
- Monitoring event budgets against actual expenditures, identify variances, and report significant deviations to management
- Providing complete and accurate documentation for internal and external audits, responding to audit queries promptly
- Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency while supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of accounting experience, preferably in events, hospitality, entertainment, or project based industry
- Experience in managing event budgets, project costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
- Experience in handling vendor payments, client invoicing, revenue recognition, and cash flow monitoring
- Strong understanding of IFRS or applicable local accounting standards
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Professional accounting certification (ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Arabic is a plus
- Must have own visa/sponsorship

Qualifications

Experience
- Minimum 3 to 4 years of accounting experience, preferably within events, hospitality, entertainment, or project based industry.
- Experience in managing event budgets, project costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
- Experience in handling vendor payments, client invoicing, revenue recognition, and cash flow monitoring.
- Previous experience in the UAE, preferably in the event industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Arabic is a plus.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements
- Strong understanding of IFRS or applicable local accounting standards.
- Understanding financial planning, forecasting, and profitability analysis for events and projects.
