About the Role

- Manage daily accounting transactions, journal entries, and general ledger activities
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow reports
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and customer accounts
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections and payments
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with WPS requirements
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with UAE Federal Tax Authority regulations
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Monitor daily sales reconciliation from POS systems and cash collections
- Coordinate with restaurant and operations teams to verify sales, expenses, and inventory movements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Monitor operating costs and recommend cost saving initiatives
- Support external auditors during annual audits
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE
- Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or food & beverage industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy

Job Summary
- Peaksy Family Adventure Park & Restaurant is seeking a detail oriented and experienced Accountant to oversee the company's day to day financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting transactions, journal entries, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and cash flow reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and customer accounts.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections and payments.

Qualifications

- Professional accounting certification (ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE (required).
- Experience in the restaurant, hospitality, or food & beverage industry is preferred.
- Experience working in a Family Entertainment Center (FEC) is an added advantage.
- Experience handling VAT, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with inventory and cost control processes.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
- Experience with POS reconciliation is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
