Role Overview
Perform inspection, diagnosis, repair, installation, and maintenance of air-conditioning systems at customer sites.
The technician must work independently and be ready to work immediately without basic HVAC training.
Responsibilities
- Inspect units, identify faults, and repair or replace compressors, refrigerant systems, electrical components, thermostats, and control panels.
- Perform cleaning, refrigerant recharging, filter replacement, and other routine maintenance.
- Advise customers on basic air-conditioning system care.
- Travel between customer sites and support emergency or on-call work when required.
Requirements
- At least three years of practical experience maintaining, installing, and repairing air-conditioning systems.
- Proven independent diagnosis and repair capability covering compressor, refrigerant leak, electrical, thermostat, and control-panel faults.
- Knowledge of safe refrigerant handling and safety protocols.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Physical ability to climb, work in confined spaces, and lift heavy units.
Skills and Systems
- Experience with split, central, ducted, and VRF/VRV air-conditioning systems is required.
- Experience with multiple system types or brands is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, customer communication, punctuality, and time-pressure skills are required.
- Personal basic hand tools are preferred; specialized equipment is provided by the company.
Work Arrangement
- The role involves field work and travel between customer sites.
- The role may include emergency or on-call service work.
