Position Overview
- Prince Sultan University seeks a dynamic male faculty member to join the General Studies Department, emphasizing teaching and research excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Physical Education and related disciplines.
- Promote physical fitness, wellness, and healthy lifestyle practices among students.
- Supervise and organize practical sessions, sports activities, and student athletic events.
- Mentor students in their academic, professional, and athletic development.
- Participate actively in departmental, college, and university service activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop, assess, and enhance the PE curriculum and programs.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sports Science, or a closely related field (completed by time of appointment).
- Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at the university level.
- Evidence of scholarly or professional engagement in the field (research, coaching certifications, publications, or program development).
- Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse academic community.
- Commitment to promoting inclusivity, student well being, and a supportive learning environment.
Salary and Benefits
- One year renewable contract with competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
- Medical insurance for employee and dependents (spouse and up to 4 children under 24).
- Transport allowance.
- Round trip tickets for annual leave (max 4: employee, spouse, and 2 children under 18).
- Paid annual summer vacation of 2 months plus 2 local paid holidays of about 15 days each.
- Tuition fees up to 30,000 SAR for children attending school in the Kingdom.
- Free furnished accommodation or housing allowance based on academic rank.
- End of service yearly gratuity starting from the 2nd year of continuous service.
