Job Scope

  • This is the senior commercial hire that builds Miral’s Yield Management engine from the ground up.
  • As deputy to the Head of Yield Management, you own the pricing and margin strategy across Packaged products, for both B2B and B2C (direct).
  • You turn fixed cost rates into competitive, profitable sell rates by reading demand, supply and distribution together, and you set and protect the margin the whole function runs on.
  • Because this is a foundation build, the role is broad by design.
  • Alongside the pricing and yield engine you stand up the commercial forecasting, reporting and insight that becomes our single source of truth.
  • It is a hands on, senior role for a builder who can own whole workstreams from a blank sheet, make the judgment calls that set margin rules for years, and carry weight with Contracting, Distribution, Revenue and Finance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own the pricing and margin strategy across Packaged Products including the margin applied on top of static, contracted hotel rates, by property, room type, season, and channel.
  • Review and interpret hotel contracts net/static rates, allotments, release periods, blackout dates, attrition and cancellation terms and price the margin within those terms.
  • Set and continuously optimize rate and yield strategy across B2B and B2C; keep prices consistent across channels and manage undercut / parity risk.
  • Define pricing guardrails, approval thresholds and margin governance.
  • Market and competitor intelligence track the competitive set, benchmark rates, and monitor demand, event and market signals to keep pricing and margin sharp.
  • Performance analytics across channels measure yield, conversion, margin and contribution across B2B and B2C (DMCs, tour operators, wholesalers, OTAs and direct) to expose what is and isn’t working.
  • Commercial insight generation turn forecasting, performance and market data into a clear, ongoing view of where margin and growth opportunities lie, built on a single source of truth for margin, yield and product performance.
  • Executive and stakeholder reporting build and own the reporting and dashboards that give leadership a trusted, decision ready view of commercial performance.
  • Translate data into actionable recommendations convert analysis into specific pricing, margin and commercial actions, each backed by a clear business case.
  • Partner with Product, Distribution and Finance to influence decision making bringing the data and insight that shapes their commercial calls.
  • Underpin all of the above with commercial demand forecasting, models, scenario tools and decision frameworks, and build cases for profitability improvement opportunities.

What Success looks like

  • A clear, defensible margin framework live across hotel rates and packages optimized by season, segment and channel.
  • Demand forecasting and a single source of truth for margin and performance stood up from a measured baseline.
  • Commercial models and decision frameworks in active use by leadership.
  • Higher margin per room night and per sale, without losing competitiveness.

Job Experience

  • 8–12 years in hotel or travel revenue management, pricing, yield or commercial strategy, with a strong track record of driving margin and revenue through pricing.
  • Strong command of hotel rate dynamics static versus dynamic rates, seasonality, events, occupancy, length of stay and competitive set benchmarking and the ability to read and price within hotel contracts.
  • Proven commercial analytics and forecasting / modelling capability able to stand up forecasting, reporting and a single source of truth, not just consume it. Advanced Excel essential; Power BI (or a revenue management system) strongly preferred; Python or R a plus.
  • Solid grasp of the distribution ecosystem — DMCs, tour operators, wholesalers, OTAs and direct and how channel economics affect achievable margin.
  • Experience building commercial frameworks, models and pricing governance from the ground up comfortable owning ambiguity and working from a blank sheet.
  • A senior operator who can deputize influence and align Contracting, Distribution, E Commerce and Finance, and represent the function to leadership.
  • Industry — ideally hospitality and hotels, theme parks and attractions, DMC / tour operating, OTA or travel e commerce.

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, hospitality / hotel management, statistics, or a related field.
  • MBA or relevant master’s strongly preferred.
  • Revenue management or hospitality pricing certification a plus (e.g., HSMAI CRME, or a hotel RMS / channel manager certification).
  • Fluent English; second language a plus.
  • Based in, or willing to relocate to, Abu Dhabi.
