Role Overview
Hands-on WordPress Developer role supporting multiple active websites.
The work combines website design, technical WordPress development, WooCommerce administration, troubleshooting, and ongoing site support.
The role requires independent ownership of daily website tasks and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and update WordPress websites and landing pages using responsive layouts.
- Convert Figma or other design references into accurate WordPress pages.
- Manage WooCommerce products, categories, attributes, variations, filters, cart, and checkout pages.
- Customize themes and plugins, and work with ACF custom fields and dynamic Elementor templates.
- Write and edit HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress snippets.
- Troubleshoot theme, plugin, AJAX, caching, compatibility, mobile, tablet, and cross-browser issues.
- Manage forms, booking flows, payment gateways, and email notifications.
- Improve website speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall performance.
- Perform plugin, theme, and WordPress core updates safely.
- Monitor security, backups, broken links, forms, and site health.
- Handle technical SEO including metadata, schema, sitemaps, redirects, and indexing issues.
- Upload and optimize content, test live-site changes, maintain records, and meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Hands-on capability in both website design and technical WordPress work.
- Ability to work independently and complete projects without constant supervision.
- Ability to write and edit HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and WordPress snippets.
- Experience with responsive layouts, WooCommerce, troubleshooting, and website performance work.
Advantageous Experience
- Experience with custom themes, starter themes, FlyingPress or similar caching tools, WooCommerce Stripe Gateway, Filter Everything PRO, Rank Math SEO, or Google Search Console is advantageous.
- Experience with custom booking or checkout systems, healthcare, laboratory, service, or e-commerce websites is advantageous.
- Experience with Figma or Adobe XD is advantageous.
Compensation
- Salary is AED 4,000 to AED 4,500 per month.
- Salary is based on skills, experience, and portfolio.
