Role Overview
The organization is seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor for welding, fabrication, and plant-services operations in Saudi Arabia.
The role leads welders and ensures welding activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and assign welding activities according to welder qualifications and capability.
- Ensure welding follows approved WPS, drawings, and project requirements.
- Monitor daily progress and maintain low repair and rejection rates.
- Enforce PPE, hot-work controls, fire-watch requirements, and site HSE procedures.
- Train, coach, and mentor junior welders on best practices and quality standards.
- Evaluate manpower, tools, and welding consumables within approved resources.
- Maintain daily records covering joints, welder allocation, issues, and rework.
- Report daily progress and welding concerns to the Project Manager.
Requirements
- Secondary School Certificate.
- Approximately 5–8 years of experience as a welder with increasing supervisory or leadership responsibility.
- Knowledge of SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding processes.
- Ability to interpret welding symbols and basic engineering drawings.
- Understanding of WPS requirements and welding-consumable handling.
- Awareness of welding safety, hot-work precautions, and HSE requirements.
- Ability to supervise, guide, and coordinate a team of welders.
Working Environment
- Work may take place across workshops, project sites, and shutdown environments.
- The role may involve high workloads and high-temperature conditions while maintaining strict safety compliance.
