Production Engineer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise production and fabrication activities to meet quality, cost, and programme requirements.
• Control material wastage, man-hours, and consumable usage against budget.
• Allocate manpower, machinery, and production resources and set daily production targets.
• Monitor progress against the fabrication schedule and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Review work orders, technical documentation, and drawings before allocating work to supervisors.
• Maintain production records, reports, attendance records, and timesheets.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
• Support continuous improvement across production activities.

Requirements

• A BSc in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, is required.
• Approximately 5–7 years of relevant experience in process or static equipment fabrication is required.
• BSc candidates should ideally have at least five years of fabrication-industry experience.
• Diploma candidates should have approximately eight years of fabrication-industry experience.
• Strong manufacturing or fabrication experience and knowledge of production planning, manpower allocation, quality, and cost control are required.
• Strong coordination and supervisory skills are required.
