Role Overview
The Welding Engineer – Production role supports a manufacturing and steel fabrication organization in Saudi Arabia.
The role maintains welding quality across production projects and ensures procedures, consumables, equipment, and documentation meet applicable requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weld maps and Welding Procedure Specifications and coordinate Procedure Qualification Records.
- Obtain WPS approvals from clients and ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Supervise test-coupon welding in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Verify welding equipment calibration and readiness.
- Monitor welding consumables and verify welder qualifications before project assignment.
- Raise welding-related Non-Conformance Reports for shop-floor non-compliance.
- Review NDE reports, welding records, and supplier documentation for compliance.
- Maintain welding documentation and prepare production and manpower reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering.
- A recognized welding certification such as CSWIP or CWI.
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a production environment.
