The Role
Lead and develop Warehouse Operatives and Trainee Supervisors across the shift.
Drive performance, productivity, engagement, labour planning, safety, and customer fulfilment.
Work with the Section Manager and Warehouse Leadership team to improve operations and support cultural change.
Key Responsibilities
- Line-manage and coach Warehouse Operatives and Trainee Supervisors, including performance one-to-ones and SMART goals.
- Monitor delivery to plan and identify improvements with the Section Manager.
- Drive performance against key metrics and fulfil customer web and store demand on time and in full.
- Promote site safety and adherence to safety routines and procedures.
- Support floor safety inspections, hazard spotting, safety gembas, risk assessments, and audits.
- Review weekly labour plans, confirm cover, and highlight issues.
- Explain missed targets and create plans to close performance gaps.
- Partner with stakeholders on strategic activity.
- Support culture change and turnover reduction.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain.
- High potential for people and change management.
- Good systems skills.
- Customer-focused approach to operational management.
- Resilient, flexible, and approachable working style.
- Problem-solving ability in a fast-paced business.
- The role operates on a rotating shift pattern of five days out of seven, including weekends.
