Role Overview

  • Responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences directly to guests in the comfort and privacy of their rooms and villas.
  • Ensure all orders are delivered with accuracy, efficiency, and genuine care.
  • Key ambassador of the Banyan Tree brand, providing discreet, professional, and seamless in room dining experiences.

Guest Service & In Room Dining Experience

  • Deliver warm, personalised, and attentive service throughout the in room dining experience.
  • Present menus, explain dishes, and provide recommendations.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Deliver orders promptly while maintaining presentation and quality.
  • Set up dining experiences in guest rooms, suites, and villas.
  • Ensure guest comfort and satisfaction throughout.

Food & Beverage Knowledge

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of menu items, ingredients, preparation methods, and dietary options.
  • Provide recommendations on food and beverage selections.
  • Ensure all orders are checked for accuracy and presentation.
  • Maintain awareness of daily specials and promotions.

Order Delivery & Service Standards

  • Prepare and arrange trays, trolleys, and service equipment according to standards.
  • Ensure food and beverages are delivered at correct temperature and presented professionally.
  • Set up tables and dining areas according to guest preferences.
  • Clear used trays and equipment promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas.

Guest Communication & Coordination

  • Coordinate closely with Kitchen, Stewarding, Front Office, Housekeeping, and other departments.
  • Communicate special requests, allergies, and preferences effectively.
  • Handle guest enquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Maintain guest confidentiality and discretion.

Sales & Revenue Support

  • Promote additional food and beverage offerings and upgrades.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance guest experience through recommendations.
  • Support outlet revenue objectives through suggestive selling.

Operational Standards & Compliance

  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with resort service standards and SOPs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workspaces.
  • Support smooth operations during busy periods.
