Role Overview
- This is not a traditional logistics role. This is a position for someone who understands how product actually moves through a fashion business and how that movement directly impacts margin, availability and cash.
- We are working on a senior mandate within a large scale, high volume fashion retailer undergoing a significant evolution in how it manages product flow and supply chain performance.
- The business operates with real complexity across multiple markets, high SKU density and a constant need to balance speed, cost and inventory.
- The remit is to take full ownership of the end to end supply chain and to materially improve how the system performs.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end to end product flow from factory through to customer across retail and e commerce
- Design and continuously optimise the supply chain network, including supplier routing, consolidation hubs and distribution center structure
- Define and manage inbound logistics strategy across air, sea and land, balancing cost efficiency with speed and flexibility
- Lead customs and import processes to ensure fast, predictable clearance and minimise delays
- Align inbound flow with demand signals and financial planning, ensuring product arrives at the right time and in the right volume
- Oversee distribution center operations, driving throughput, accuracy and efficiency across inbound and outbound
- Own store replenishment and e commerce fulfilment models, optimising delivery cadence, last mile cost and service levels
- Design and improve reverse logistics and returns processes to reduce cost and maximise recovery
- Work closely with merchandising and finance to manage inventory timing, reduce working capital pressure and improve stock turn
- Challenge and evolve the current operating model, moving from execution to true end to end flow control
What We Are Looking For
- Experience operating within fully integrated, high volume retail environments where supply chain is tightly linked to product and trading decisions
- Proven ability to design, reshape or optimise supply chain networks rather than simply manage existing operations
- Strong understanding of inventory flow, lead times and the interaction between speed, cost and margin
- A commercial mindset, with the ability to link supply chain decisions to financial and trading outcomes
- Experience managing complex, multi channel distribution across retail and e commerce
- Ability to operate at pace and make decisions in environments with high SKU density and constant change
- Track record of working cross functionally with merchandising, finance and broader leadership teams
- Strong leadership capability, with experience building and leading large, multi disciplinary teams
