Ideal Volunteer Candidate The City of Carson is looking for enthusiastic volunteers who have a passion for working with kids and promoting active lifestyles. Ideal candidates enjoy sports, mentorship, and community engagement. Volunteers will support seasonal youth sports programs by coaching, mentoring, and assisting with various activities that help shape young athletes and foster teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. If you’re energetic, patient, and eager to make a positive impact, we’d love to have you on our team! The City of Carson's Community Services Department encompasses the Parks and Recreation Division, which is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents by providing a variety of recreational programs and well-maintained facilities. The city proudly offers 12 full-service parks and 4 mini-parks, totaling approximately 123 acres of parkland.
