About the Role

Responsibilities
- Remotely manage, grow, and retain assigned business customer portfolios across multiple branches
- Proactively mine existing customer book to uncover needs and secure advice based meetings
- Provide tailored recommendations and advice via phone and email
- Authorize, renew, or decline customer credit requests within policy limits
- Partner with Branch Managers to provide high level service and jointly manage customers
- Respond to customer inquiries within service standards
- Conduct prospecting activities to achieve sales and service objectives
Requirements
- 3 to 4 years of directly related work experience
- University/college courses in accounting, finance, business law, economics, or equivalent work experience
- Superior business development, customer focus and communication skills
- Must complete Business Banker Certification Program and internal training
- Thorough knowledge of Business Banking products and services

Purpose
- Contributes to the overall success of Business Banking, Virtual Advice by executing individual goals and initiatives in support of business strategies and objectives.
- Ensures all activities comply with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships.
- Remotely manages, grows, and retains assigned business customer portfolios at multiple branches.
- Develops deep knowledge of customers' business and financial position.
- Proactively mines existing customer book and secures advice based meetings.
- Provides tailored recommendations via phone and email.
- Manages assigned credit portfolio at acceptable risk level.
- Authorizes, renews, or declines customer requests within policy limits.
- Provides high level advice and service to deliver superior experience.
- Assists branches with implementation of Business Banking products.
- Responds to customer inquiries within service standards.
- Collaborates with Branch Managers and internal partners.
- Contributes to financial and non financial objectives.
Skills
- Superior business development, customer focus and communication skills.
- Must complete Business Banker Certification Program and internal training.
- University/college courses in accounting, finance, business law, economics, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 to 4 years of directly related work experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Business Banking software and technology platforms (SalesBuilder, Salesforce, Intralink, Microsoft Outlook, eSignature, Business Advisor Dashboard).
- Thorough knowledge of Business Banking products and services.
- Thorough knowledge of risk management policies and processes.
- Thorough knowledge of legal and security documentation for Business Banking products.
- Working knowledge of retail products and other business line offerings.
- Working knowledge of competitor offerings and alternate financing sources.
