Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Statistics, or related discipline
- MBA, CFA, FRM, or master's degree in Analytics preferred
- Extensive analytics, business intelligence, and decision support experience
- Strong business and financial acumen with understanding of portfolio optimization and P&L levers
- Proficiency with analytical and BI tools including cloud computing, BigQuery, SQL, Python, R, SAS, Excel, Power BI
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills

The Role
- Reporting to the Director, Analytics and BI within Canadian Banking, the Sr. Manager, Analytics and BI – Deposits & Savings will conduct analysis and provide fact based recommendations across the Canadian Deposits and Savings business.
- The incumbent will deliver strategic and tactical insights that support profitable growth of the deposit customer base, increase customer engagement, and optimize revenue margins.
- This role works with multiple stakeholders and partners across Scotiabank to develop effective strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic analytics and business intelligence support to Retail Deposits and Day to Day Banking.
- Partner with Deposits, Marketing, Campaign Design, Customer Decisioning, Product, Pricing Optimization, Finance, Treasury, Advanced Analytics, and channel teams.
- Provide strategic support for campaign initiatives.
- Lead portfolio, pricing, targeting, and performance analytics using advanced analytical methods.
- Lead the standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of recurring reports, dashboards, scorecards.
- Communicate strategic and operational results clearly and in a timely manner.
- Manage and prioritize multiple business initiatives, projects, ad hoc analyses, and stakeholder requests.
- Drive adoption of cloud capabilities, modern analytics platforms, reporting migration, automation.
- Lead and champion the adoption of practical AI use cases across analytics and BI processes.
- Champion a customer focused culture.
- Understand and apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations while ensuring business controls.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline; MBA, CFA, FRM, or master’s degree in Analytics is preferred.
- Extensive analytics, business intelligence, and decision support experience.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic analytical support for business initiatives.
- Strong business intelligence skills.
- Proficiency with analytical and BI tools and platforms, including cloud computing, BigQuery, SQL, Python, R, SAS, Excel, Power BI.
- Proven ability to extract, interpret, and translate complex data into meaningful, actionable business insights.
- Proactive mindset with ability to anticipate business needs.
- Strong commitment to adopting new tools, technologies, automation.
- Demonstrated capability to identify, evaluate, and apply practical AI use cases.
