Responsibilities
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly production data reviews
- Analyse key reservoir indicators including water cut, decline trends, static pressure, and back allocation results
- Track well by well production potential and prepare short term production prognoses
- Contribute to identifying barrel boosting opportunities such as well control adjustments and pump optimization
- Prepare communication material to guide decision making
- Develop and refine Power BI reservoir monitoring dashboards
- Lead final handover of dashboarding methods and knowledge to engineering team
Requirements
- MSc in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent
- Ideally 1st experience in Reservoir/Petroleum Engineering
- Knowledge of Reservoir Engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of Well Performance fundamentals
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry fundamentals
- Power BI advanced dashboarding skills

Context
- Based in Doha office within Geoscience & Reservoir team.
- Supports management of a mature offshore oil field with approximately 50 active wells.
- VIE assignment for 12 months, renewable for additional 12 months.
Reservoir Monitoring Activities
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly production data reviews.
- Analyse key reservoir indicators: water cut, decline trends, static pressure, back allocation results.
- Track well by well production potential and prepare short term production prognoses.
- Contribute to identifying barrel boosting opportunities.
- Prepare communication material to guide decision making.
- Regular interaction with production, well performance, and drilling teams.
Digital Dashboarding Development (Power BI)
- Further develop and refine existing Power BI reservoir monitoring dashboards.
- Adapt tools to meet specific needs of the field.
- Ensure dashboards provide up to date overview of reservoir performance.
- Lead final handover of all dashboarding methods, tools, and knowledge.
Candidate Profile
- MSc Petroleum Engineer or equivalent.
- Ideally 1st experience in Reservoir/Petroleum engineering.
- Knowledge of Reservoir Engineering fundamentals.
- Knowledge of Well Performance fundamentals.
- Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry fundamentals.
- Power BI advanced dashboarding skills.
