Vice President - Solutions Engineering

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead the Solutions Engineering function and establish its operating model, technical standards, and execution rhythm.
• Own technical solution strategy from customer discovery and architecture through validation, deployment planning, and production readiness.
• Partner with Commercial teams to qualify opportunities and ensure technical commitments reflect product capability and delivery reality.
• Translate customer, operational, data, security, and integration requirements into executable solution architectures.
• Feed customer requirements, deployment learnings, product gaps, and technical blockers into product roadmaps.
• Explain AI capabilities, model behavior, evaluation approaches, constraints, and trade-offs with Applied Science teams.
• Build repeatable processes for demos, proofs of concept, workshops, design reviews, reference architectures, and handoffs.
• Set standards for documentation, architecture artifacts, validation plans, and solution readiness gates.
• Lead and develop solutions engineers and architects.
• Align product, engineering, delivery, security, legal, and customer stakeholders on complex decisions.
• Identify recurring customer patterns, reduce bespoke work, and turn field learnings into productized capabilities.
• Represent Inception42 in senior customer and partner discussions.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, customer engineering, solution architecture, technical field engineering, or enterprise AI deployment.
• Technical depth across AI products, software architecture, data platforms, APIs, cloud infrastructure, security, integration patterns, and production environments.
• Experience leading customer-facing technical teams across discovery, architecture, demonstrations, proof of concept execution, validation, and production handoff.
• Experience with complex enterprise or national-scale customers involving reliability, security, data governance, procurement, and stakeholder alignment.
• Strong product judgment, systems thinking, communication, ownership, and execution discipline.
• Experience building operating models, technical standards, team structures, and repeatable solutions engineering processes.
• Experience with AI-native products, LLM applications, agentic systems, RAG, MLOps, model evaluation, or enterprise AI platforms.
• Experience with private, hybrid, or on-premises cloud, Kubernetes/OpenShift, observability, identity, access control, or secure integrations.
