Senior Manager - AI Scrum

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Design and run the Agile delivery operating model across multiple squads.
• Establish sprint and program governance for planning, reviews, retrospectives, releases, and delivery health.
• Translate roadmaps and strategic priorities into integrated plans, milestones, sequencing, and outcomes.
• Own cross-squad dependencies, surface constraints, and protect critical paths and production commitments.
• Coach Scrum Masters and delivery practitioners on facilitation, flow, forecasting, and risk management.
• Improve backlog quality, capacity planning, prioritization, and the balance of feature, technical, and operational work.
• Define delivery metrics for flow, predictability, quality, risk, and value.
• Prepare executive reporting on progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, and forecast confidence.
• Lead escalation and recovery for delivery risks, stalled dependencies, and execution gaps.
• Improve delivery standards, tooling, and ways of working based on evidence and feedback.
• Create alignment across Product, Technology, Delivery, and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in Agile delivery, Scrum, program execution, or a related discipline within technology, AI, SaaS, or digital products.
• Experience leading delivery across several product and engineering squads with shared dependencies and concurrent releases.
• Strong command of Agile and Scrum fundamentals with the ability to adapt practices to the work.
• Experience coaching Scrum Masters or delivery leads and raising execution maturity.
• Ability to turn complex delivery data into forecasts, executive narratives, and actionable decisions.
• Strong systems thinking across priorities, constraints, capacity, risk, quality, and stakeholder commitments.
• Ability to operate through ambiguity, resolve competing priorities, and hold teams and leaders to commitments.
• Clear communication with technical teams and senior stakeholders, including constructive challenge.
• Structured, data-driven ownership mindset with consistent follow-through.

Nice to Have

• SAFe, Certified Scrum Professional, Professional Scrum Master, or comparable Agile certification.
• Experience in a high-growth technology, AI, consulting, or product-engineering environment.
• Exposure to AI/ML product lifecycles, platform delivery, enterprise deployments, or regulated environments.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, portfolio planning tools, and delivery analytics.
