The role will drive architecture, design, and implementation of next-generation digital wholesale banking platforms.
The position combines wholesale banking domain expertise with technical knowledge of digital banking, microservices, APIs, AWS, and systems integration.
The role works with business stakeholders, product managers, engineering teams, and vendors to deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Define end-to-end architecture for Treasury and Transaction Banking platforms, including payments, liquidity, cash management, trade finance, and capital markets.
- Design digital banking platforms using microservices, APIs, and event-driven architecture.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise standards, security, and compliance requirements.
- Act as subject matter expert for Treasury and Transaction Banking systems.
- Drive cloud-native adoption on AWS and enable an API-first integration strategy.
- Lead integration design for CRM, ERP, regulatory reporting, AML/KYC, risk, and related surround systems.
- Translate functional requirements into technical architectures and work with engineering, DevOps, and data teams on delivery.
- Manage vendors, contribute to digital wholesale banking strategy, and advise on architecture trends.
Core competencies
- Deep knowledge of Treasury Management, including front-to-back office, risk, liquidity, FX, money markets, and derivatives.
- Strong understanding of Transaction Banking, including payments, collections, cash management, trade finance, and supply chain finance.
- Strong integration architecture skills covering APIs, event-driven systems, messaging, ESB, and iPaaS.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, ECS, serverless, and cloud networking.
- Knowledge of microservices design patterns, API-first strategy, and API gateways.
- Experience integrating CRM, ERP, risk, AML/KYC, data warehouse, and regulatory reporting systems.
- Strong vendor evaluation and management skills for banking systems.
Required skills and experience
- At least 10 years in banking or financial services, including at least 5 years focused on Treasury and Transaction Banking.
- In-depth knowledge of Finacle Treasury and transaction banking platforms.
- Familiarity with ISO 20022, SWIFT, PSD2, Basel III, AML/KYC, and other regulatory frameworks and market standards.
- Proven enterprise and solution architecture experience for large-scale banking platforms.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business and technology.
- TOGAF, AWS Solution Architect, or similar certifications are preferred.
- Minimum education is a Bachelor of Engineering, MCA, or Master's in Computer Science.
