Senior Analyst - Information and Cybersecurity Operations

About the Role

Security Operations

• Review daily security logs for critical applications such as Equation, Prime, Online, Raknet, and Beam.
• Assess information security events and communicate the risks attached to incidents.
• Verify the effectiveness of information security activities with Infosec team members.
• Ensure IT security processes are implemented and followed across the bank's computing environment.

Controls and Compliance

• Maintain schedules for IT policies and procedures and provide improvement comments.
• Perform annual user ID cleanup and application cleanup when needed.
• Conduct surprise checks of backup restoration, desktops, device configurations, firewalls, and password controls.
• Review internet usage and administrator IDs and privileges for policy compliance.
• Obtain HR separation lists and verify timely user ID revocation.

Patching and Testing

• Prepare patch management schedules for applications and operating systems and coordinate implementation with IT departments.
• Schedule third-party penetration tests and coordinate with IT users on the results.
• Verify that antivirus updates are implemented weekly or monthly.

Reporting and Awareness

• Prepare and maintain IT division intranet pages.
• Organize information security awareness sessions and maintain related statistics.
• Prepare and update information security and IT assurance dashboards.
• Maintain a current reference of information security events occurring worldwide.
• Help the Information Security Manager schedule audit responses for the IT division.

Education

• University degree or equivalent qualification.

Technical Competence

• Technical competence in quality assurance, information systems auditing, networking, database management, operating systems, and application development.
• Analytical skills using ACL, Business Objects, or database querying tools.
• Knowledge of UAE Central Bank and government policies and regulations related to compliance.

Communication

• Good oral and written communication skills for issuing instructions or guidelines, making proposals, issuing internal circulars, and drafting correspondence.
