Beam Therapeutics is a biotechnology company committed to establishing the leading, fully integrated platform for precision genetic medicines.
To achieve this vision, Beam has assembled a platform with integrated gene editing, delivery and internal manufacturing capabilities.
Beam’s suite of gene editing technologies is anchored by base editing, a proprietary technology that is designed to enable precise, predictable and efficient single base changes, at targeted genomic sequences, without making double-stranded breaks in the DNA.
This has the potential to enable a wide range of therapeutic editing strategies that Beam is using to advance a diversified portfolio of base editing programs.
Beam is a values-driven organization committed to its people, cutting-edge science, and a vision of providing life-long cures to patients suffering from serious diseases.
The VP, Clinical Development will serve as the medical lead for base editing gene therapies in our metabolic franchise and represent Beam both internally and externally. The position will report to the EVP, Head of Clinical Development. The candidate will develop the vision, mission, outline the strategies, establish the priorities, create alignment, and have full accountability for Beam’s clinical metabolic efforts. The VP of Clinical Development will oversee implementation and maintenance of all metabolic internal clinical development programs and will also have the strategic view and excellence in execution to continue to grow the strength and scope of the internal pipeline, in addition to participating in potential business development opportunities, including additional acquisitions. Importantly, the role will be highly visible requiring effectively communicating the Beam Vision and Values in metabolic diseases to other functional groups and to key external stakeholders.
