Position Overview

The LNP Development Team seeks a Process Engineering Co-op from January through June 2027.

The role supports scale-up of lipid nanoparticle formulations, process development, troubleshooting, and data-driven experimental design.

The co-op will collaborate across development functions to create robust and scalable LNP processes.

Responsibilities

Support development, optimization, and scale-up of targeted LNP manufacturing processes.
Conduct formulation and process studies involving LNP mixing, filtration, and TFF.
Evaluate key product quality attributes.
Assess process performance and the effects of critical process parameters on LNP quality, stability, and manufacturability.
Improve processes through experimental design, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with LNP Development, Analytical Development, and Process Optimization teams.
Document experiments, analyze results, and present findings to the project team.
Follow laboratory safety policies and procedures while supporting routine operations.

Qualifications

Pursuing a BS or MS in bioengineering, biochemistry, or a related field with at least one year of relevant experience.
Strong interest in drug delivery, bioprocess development, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and data analytics tools.
Comfort working collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with familiarity with process engineering concepts.
Strong organizational, communication, time management, and learning skills.
Currently enrolled in a degree-granting college or university program throughout the co-op.

Compensation

The co-op hourly pay range is $23 to $34 USD.
Hourly pay is determined based on factors including relevant experience, skills, and education.
