Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual and detailed engineering design for utility corridors design, master planning of utilities, utilities cross sections, writing technical notes, and coordination of existing and new utilities infrastructure
- Coordinate with other engineering sections, prepare alternative solutions to issues and problems
- Prepare engineering design models in Civil3D or similar software
- Work with other engineering disciplines to develop coordinated multi discipline designs
- Prepare presentations and reports to explain proposals and solutions to clients, authorities and management
- Provide support for other engineering activities as required
- Provide input to BIM/CAD Designer working on the same project
- Review plans and profiles for technical compliance with design objectives and clarity for construction
- Develop simple workflows/templates to enable efficient repetition of design
- Apply advanced engineering principles to complex analytical models
- Check design deliverables from equal or less experienced Engineers
- Track progress of task assignments vs original baseline schedule
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years related experience
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate is advantage
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Understands QA/QC standard practices and procedures

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Utilities Engineer to join our team!
- In this role you will get to determine methods and solutions for complex engineering problems and selects the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the objectives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop conceptual and Detailed engineering design for the Utility corridors design, master planning of utilities, Utilities Cross sections, writing technical notes, and coordination of existing and new utilities infrastructure.
- Coordinate with other engineering sections, prepare alternative solutions to issues and problems.
- You will prepare engineering design models in Civil3D or similar software.
