Responsibilities
- Implement corporate HSE Policy, HSE plan and HSE legislation and other requirements, monitor HSE performance, HSE targets and suggest measures for further improvement.
- Make sure that client’s safety requirements are being fulfilled.
- Liaise with safety manager and contractors for the improvement & implementation of corporate HSE management ethics.
- Monitor contractors to ensure the implementation of applicable safety measures at site to fulfill Legal and client requirements.
- Review Site safety Plan, Emergency plan, and other safety related plans submitted by the contractor. Review Method Statement and risk analysis for all activities and monitor the effectiveness of hazard control measures. Carry out HSE inspections and report to resident engineer for immediate rectification.
- Review and monitor contractors monthly HSE inspections / reports.
- Conduct monthly Safety meetings, setting the target to achieve the outstanding issues, prepare / submit the minutes to all concern to follow up.
- Review emergency preparedness and response, permit to work system, Toolbox Talks, HSE statistics & records of the contractors according to company requirement.
- Review incident/accident investigation reports from contractors, reporting & communicating the learning points, and monitor the immediate action and follow up actions to minimize / prevent from re occurrence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Construction related Engineering Degree or Occupational safety and health
- Minimum 7+ years experience as Safety Engineer in infrastructure projects in UAE
- Recognized Health and Safety certifications (e.g. ISO, NEBOSH, First Aid, Fire Safety)
- Must be able to attend in person interviews
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of Federal Laws, Dubai Municipality Code of Construction safety Practice and Technical Guidelines

What Required Skills You'll Bring
- At least a Bachelor’s in any Construction related Engineering Degree or Occupational safety and health and internationally approved Safety courses.
- Minimum 7+ years’ experience as Safety Engineer in infrastructure projects in UAE.
